Sunglass Warehouse Review and Giveaway
Founded in 2002, SunglassWarehouse.com is more than just another sunglasses retailer. We are a customer service company passionate about sunglasses. Here at SunglassWarehouse.com, the customer is our top priority. Over the past seven years, we have served the needs of thousands of satisfied customers, providing quality sunglasses at affordable prices.
I'm really not a huge wearer of sunglasses but when I saw the huge selection from Sunglass Warehouse; how could I not want to wear a pair! They really do have a huge selection and it took me quiet some time to look through them all. I came across a pair of square aviator sunglasses that I really liked. They came in silver, gray, gold, and black. I chose the gold pair since I have never owned a gold pair of sunglasses before. These simply square aviator sunglasses are just what you need to fight the sunshine. Spring temples are provided for your comfort and UV400 protection keeps your eyes safe.
When I received the sunglasses, my 13 year old took a look at them, tried them on, and decided that SHE would look better in them than I would! So nice of her :) I do have to admit and they are really cute on her.
Had I'd known she was going to keep them, I would have had her choose a pair from their 'sunglasses for kids' section. They have such a cute and stylish selection for kids to choose from. She definitely would have found a pair for herself!
They have many categories to choose from when looking for specific type of sunglasses. For instance, if you only wanted to look for polarized sunglasses; you could do so. Like oversized sunglasses? They have those too.
What I really like about Sunglass Warehouse is that they even have a page specifically designed to help you choose the best sunglasses frames for your skin tone. Choosing sunglasses based on your skin tone is definitely a good tool to help you find that perfect frame and color that will compliment your skin tone beautifully.
Just so you know, these sunglasses are not cheap knock-offs. They are specially made to capture the style and charm of designer looks, not copy or steal logos or brands. That is definitely nice to know!
I love Sunglass Warehouse and I will definitely be purchasing from them again.
Want to win a $20 Gift Certificate? Well, I bet you do. They have a HUGE selection and a majority of their sunglasses are less then $20! The one's I chose were only $15.95. The folks over at Sunglass Warhouse have generously offered to give one of my lucky readers the chance to win a $20 gift certificate to go towards any pair of their choosing.
This contest is open to the US only and will end on January 20, 2012. Good luck to all!
*Disclaimer: I was given the above mentioned item for review. I was not paid monetarily and all opinions are 100% my own.

Become.com ~ Your Online Comparison Shopping Site!
Whenever I'm doing online shopping, It can take me forever to search through different websites to find the best deal. I've been doing a lot of online shopping over the years and I can't even begin to tell you how many times I have purchased something just to find it on another website for a much lower price...bummer huh. Well, that is where Become.com comes in.
Become.com is a shoppers dream. They provide you, the customer, with the comparison shopping technology that will save you a lot of your time and money through their comparison shopping website. For instance, my all time FAVORITE flip flop brand is Yellowbox. If you have ever purchased Yellowbox shoes, then you know they can be a bit pricey. Become.com does the work for you when it comes to finding the best deal around.
Another thing I LOVE are Wire Photo/Christmas Card Holders. I honestly have more than I need, but I keep purchasing more when I come across some 'too cute to not have' holders. They, too, can be pretty pricey and I end up paying too much for one and then finding the same one at another place for a much lower price.
My best friend loves all animals alike but she definitely favors dogs. She has a Dachshund that has to be about 200 years old, hehe just kidding, but she is her baby! With that said, she also loves Dachshund figurines and when you're on a budget it certainly helps to have an online tool to help give you the best deal possible.
All in all, Become.com is a wonderful site to do your comparison shopping, all in one place! Honestly, who wants to go back and forth to multiple stores, just to find the right deal, when all you have to do is go to Become.com and let them do the work for you! Simple enough, huh?!

Mountain Rose Herbs Invigorating Hair Oil Review & GIVEAWAY!
While looking around on the internet, one day, I came across Mountain Rose Herbs. Anything with the word herbs in the title tend to grab my attention. Here is a little bit about the company and their products (from their website).
The Company
Since 1987 Mountain Rose Herbs has been known for its uncompromising commitment to organic agriculture and steadfast focus on the pure aesthetics and freshness of botanical products.Throughout all of these magnificent and developmental years we have always put an emphasis on conducting business in an ethical, responsible, clear, and ecological way; hoping to pave a medium for other blossoming green companies. During this time we have always found it in our nature to purport the advantages of organic agriculture, fund non profit organizations, contribute our time to numerous social and environmental groups, stay involved in community action campaigns, and develop cultivation programs for endangered botanicals. Yet, in the midst of these exciting and sometimes tumultuous times, we have always guaranteed our customers the absolute best in quality organic herbal products at very competitive prices.
The Products
Organic Herbal Products All of the products processed and offered by Mountain Rose Herbs are handled, analyzed and supervised by a full time quality control department. Every aspect of all our products, from the procurement, and the receiving, to the processing and packaging, is done in accordance to strict quality control and organic handling procedures. The products we offer you are guaranteed fresh, fragrant and colorful, and unlike traditional suppliers of herbal products who keep their merchandise stored in warehouses for several years, Mountain Rose Herbs will never sell or stock products that are more than a few months from harvest (except for seasonal items). This in itself guarantees you a fresh, and effective botanical preparation. Since 1987 Mountain Rose Herbs has placed a priority on our general health and well-being, and in this time we have completely removed all conventionally grown materials from our product line entirely.
I have to say that I LOVE any and all things organic. I especially love organic hair and beauty products, which brings me to my review on the Invigorating Hair Oil. A while back, I posted on how I was losing quite a bit of hair...more than the average 100-200 strands a day, that's for sure. While looking through their products, the Invigorating Hair Oil definitely caught my attention. Here is little description of the product.
Invigorating Hair Oil was expressly developed for the purpose of delivering luxuriant hair and healthy roots. Organic Jojoba oil is great for root follicles allowing oxygen in and thereby encouraging new growth, while our luscious essential oil blend is both stimulating and nourishing to the scalp. Start with a few drops of Invigorating Hair Oil in the palm of your hand and rub into the scalp with your fingertips; then brush the hair gently and thoroughly from scalp to ends. For a complete hair treatment, apply the oil to wet hair and thoroughly massage in. Wrap the hair with a hot damp towel and leave on for 20 to 30 minutes. Remove towel and shampoo well.
Contains: Organic Jojoba oil and a proprietary blend of organic essential oils.
This is what I wanted to review! I washed my hair like normal, towel tried and used about 5 pumps worth of oil and gently massaged onto my scalp. I then used a plastic cap to cover my entire head and sat under my portable hard hat hair dryer for about 20 minutes (note, you can also wrap your hair in a hot damp towel). Once time was up, I shampooed my scalp. If you don't, you will have an unsitely oily scalp (whoopsies to me for not shampooing the first time I used this hehe). I did this, 2x a week, for a month and I'm extremely happy to report that I have honestly had A LOT less shedding!! I couldn't have been more thrilled with the results. We naturally shed but when you shed to the point that your scalp is starting to show through, that is NOT normal shedding!! I definitely have less shedding and only time will tell when it comes to regrowth (I'll keep you updated). My scalp feels so good after using the oil. Note this oil is not just for those with thinning hair; using this oil will help to stimulate and nourish your scalp. Healthy Scalp = Happy Hair! Even if you have dandruff or just an itchy dry scalp, this hair oil will work wonders!
WHERE TO BUY: Mountain Rose Herbs sells herbs, spices, teas, bath and body care, aromatherapy and essential oils and much more. Visit their website today!
You can connect with them on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube! They also have a blog, you should check out as well.
WANT TO WIN A BOTTLE FOR YOURSELF? Mountain Rose Herbs has generously offered to give one of my readers the chance to win a bottle for themselves! Contest will be open Internationally and will close on January 4, 2011. Good luck to all!
*Disclaimer: I was given the mentioned product to facilitate this review. I was not paid monetarily and all opinions are 100% my own.

A MUST vent post!
I don't normally do this but I'm very upset right now and MUST vent! I have a question to ask...when you join blog hops are you not asking for followers? Whenever I join one, I'm asking for followers and when they follow me, I GLADLY follow back. I don't ask for comments in addition to your "I'm following" comment. I don't mind a simple I'm following and would like a follow back. I guess that is just me. With that said, I came across a blog hop that I joined. I went down the list and followed a few random blogs and asked that they follow back..normal routine, right? Ok, I got a very rude response to my usual happy and upbeat "I'm following" comment and was replied with "Make a few decent comments & I’ll think about it " I was very offended by that reply even though there was a "wink" at the end. Should I not have been? The blogger did the same thing to a couple of other people as well. I do not understand the need to be rude. I'm not a rude person, it's just not in my nature, but that really ticked me off and I felt the need to respond to her comment. Needless to say, I'm no longer following that blogger. I'm just curious as to how others feel about that. Am I in the wrong? Thanks for reading! Comments are much appreciated!

Smoky Mountain Minerals - Review and Giveaway Open to the US AND Canada
I've had the pleasure of reviewing some fabulous mineral makeup from Smoky Mountain Minerals! Until recently, I have not heard of this company before and I was super excited to give them a try. I'm always on the look out for mineral foundation that will actually match my skin color. I'm very pale with neither pink nor yellow tones. I've never really been able to find a color that matched perfectly. It was either too yellow or too pink and because of that I never really felt comfortable with my current color choice. Here is a little bit about the company:
Our mission is to make affordable healthy makeup and skin care available to everyone.
Specially formulated by Smoky Mountain Minerals to meet the highest standards of freshness and purity!
All minerals are madeup of pure minerals. No fillers, no perfumes, no oils, no additives. Pure minerals only!! Ingredients consist of sericite, titanium dioxide, iron oxides, silica spheres (excluding Illusion Veil and Glow). In addition to the ingredients listed above, our Illusion Veil and Glow also contain zeamays, cosmetic grade cornstarch for slip.
Some of the benefits of our minerals:
We do not use Bismuth Oxycholoride in our products. This is the ingredient several national brands use that can cause itching and redness. And since we do not use bismuth oxychloride, you do not have to "buff" your minerals in like you would other brands. Just apply as you would a regular face powder. Superior coverage!
Our minerals give you a very natural look. They are weightless and glide on like silk while still giving excellent coverage.
Stays on all day and is water-resistant. Swim, perspire, watch a sad movie. Just blot wetness don't wipe.
Now onto my review...

Book Review~ Cold River by Liz Adair
Once I picked this book up, I just didn't want to put it down. I finished this 324 page book in about 3 days. That is amazing considering I have an almost 2 year old that runs around like a crazy mad woman! This is one of those books where you grab your soft blanket, cup of coffee or warm tea, and just read by the fireplace on a cold evening. This book will keep you guessing!
Here is just a tiny bit about the book without giving away too much!
Mandy takes a position as Superintendent of a small seemingly back woods school district because she feels she needs a change in her life. But when mysterious "accidents" begin to happen to her, the idea of going back to her former job begins to look pretty good. The fact that there are three men she has feelings for is the one thing that keeps her from leaving.
If you love a good mystery with some romance thrown in, you'll love reading Cold River by Liz Adair.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Born in southern New Mexico, Liz attended school in small towns in New Mexico, Wyoming, Alaska, Utah, and Arizona where she graduated from Fredonia High and NAU (then Arizona State College).
Liz married Derrill Adair in 1963, and they had four children of their own and adopted three more. Liz became a reading specialist and taught school for several years, but decided she needed to stay home to be a full-time wife and mother. She calls that her ‘Mother Earth’ decade when they lived in an old farmhouse and milked cows, had chickens and pigs, put up hay, and raised a huge garden.
The ‘Literary Decade’ began in 1989 and is still going on. Books by Liz Adair include the Spider Latham Mystery Series, consisting of The Lodger, After Goliath andSnakewater Affair and Mist of Quarry Harbor. Liz is also the co-editor (with her daughters Terry Gifford and Ruth Lavine) of Lucy Shook's Letters from Afghanistan. Her bookCounting the Cost, a novel based on family history, won the 2009 Whitney Award and was a finalist for the Willa Award and Arizona Publisher Association’s Glyph Award. Her newest book, a romantic suspense set in Pacific Northwest timber country and titled Cold River, is out in October 2011.
Liz and husband, Derrill, live in Sedro Woolley, Washington. Besides writing, Liz works as a forensic scheduler doing project delay analyses.
Liz is active in American Night Writers Association and LDStorymakers and belongs to the Skagit Valley Writer’s League.
WHERE TO BUY: You can buy direct from Amazon here for around $14.
*Disclaimer: I received the mentioned book to facilitate this review. No monetary compensation was received. All opinions are 100% my own.
