I couldn't agree more with the above statement.  There are SO many mineral makeup products out there which makes it that much more difficult when choosing which one to go with.  In my opinion, we should all choose cruelty free mineral makeup that does not contain artificial ingredients.  With Jenulence, you will not find nano-particles, micronized minerals or FD&C, D&C or Aluminum Lake dyes in their cosmetics.  This is so important since our skin absorbs whatever we put on it.

I was sent a blush and eyeshadow to try out. A woman can really never have enough different colored blushes and/or eye shadows. I decided on the Wild Orchid mineral blush and Charcoal mineral eye shadow. When thinking of the color orchid, purple comes to mind. This blush is a mauve/pink color and leaves a soft lovely glow to my cheeks. This blush gives you the perfect hint of color and would especially look great during the winter months. Think of how your cheeks look after coming inside from being in the icy cold, winter weather; that is what this color reminds me of. I have so many different colors of blush but nothing quite like Wild Orchid and it has quickly graduated to the top of my favorites list. The color is extremely pigmented so it's important to use a light hand when applying, this blush, or you may come out looking a little....odd! Don't be scared off by the color; it's such a gorgeous and refreshing flush of color. The blush contains a very small amount of sparkle; it's not overwhelming and gives just a nice, pretty little glow-y shimmer to your cheeks!


The eye shadow is a nice, smokey color especially for an evening/night out.  If you love the smokey eye look, this is a great crease color. The pigmentation is really nice; you can either apply to the eyelids for a light, soft effect or if you layer it on for a darker, more dramatic look.  


The swatch on the left side (of the right picture) is the eye shadow applied after an eye primer.  I love using eye primers because they not only intensify the color but they help the color to adhere a lot longer than they normally would.  The swatch on the right is the Charcoal eye shadow without the eye primer.  There is an ever so small amount of glitter.  Don't worry, it's not the 'teenage' girly-girly kind of sparkle; just a nice shimmer that I find quite suitable for my 35 year old eyes!

I was searching the internet, one day, and came across Erth Minerals.  I'm always intrigued by all of the different mineral makeup companies out there.  The name 'Erth Minerals' is what got my attention.  Most companies don't include a full list of their ingredients so you're stuck wondering if their products are really natural.  On their website, there is a full list of the ingredients that are used in their products.

What is really neat is that if you currently use Bare Minerals they have a chart that compares Erth Minerals colors to that of Bare Minerals.  I, personally, used Bare Minerals but the $26-$28 price tag is the reason I went on the hunt to find another brand.  Erth Minerals foundation is only $15!

I was given the opportunity to review several of their products.  First up is the Lipgloss in Blossom.  This is a beautiful pink with blueish undertones.  What I love about blueish undertones, whether it's in pinks, nudes, or reds, is that it gives the appearance of whiter teeth!  Love that.  Anyway, I LOVE this color.  It's very nice soft pink; looks great when playing up the eye with dark colors.  This lipgloss is like no other.  It is so creamy smooth; not sticky AT ALL.  One thing I would like to mention is that if your lips are already very pigmented, this color really wouldn't show up on you.  I literally have colorless lips and it shows up as a nice soft light pink.  I honestly have never felt a lipgloss like this.  Seriously, it feels so good on my lips.  It doesn't have a lot of staying power but for me, that is not a big deal.

I had the pleasure of reviewing Monave Mineral Makeup. I was generously sent multiple samples to test out and review. Here is a little bit about the company from the website.

Monave started as a little seed...a dream to make makeup by  hand,   with simple ingredients. The seed also had the expectation that the products had to be high-quality, high-performance. I grew up working in health food stores, and much of the natural makeup wasn't very good. I didn't want Monave to be just another so-so natural makeup brand. As my little tree grew, so did my dream. It started to extend into the realm of developing and nurturing other women's ability and knowledge to create and sell their own makeup line. Some say that creates competition, but truly, the root of the tree lies in what is given away, not what is held tight. 

I would like to first talk about the mineral  foundation.  I was given the chance to choose 2 different colors so I went with Kerrie and Claire.  Kerrie is on the left and Claire is on the right.  Kerrie is lighter and has a yellow undertone for the peaches and cream complexion while Claire is a neutral shade for light complextions.  I find that mixing the 2 foundations produces the most accurate shade for my skin color.  I really love the foundation as it blends so nicely and effortlessly and I can layer on for more coverage or less for less coverage.  I found that the foundation covers VERY well.  I have a few freckles and it's not easy to find a foundation that can completely cover them up; well this foundation does an outstanding job!




Next I would like to talk about the mineral blush.  I.LOVE.THIS.BLUSH!  I love everything about it, from the color to the sheen, this blush has got to be on the very top of my list of favorite blushes.  It's very hard to see the color, in the picture, but it's a beautiful pink meets cream, sandy salmon color, called Kasha, from their sultry blush collection.  It gives your cheeks a gorgeous sandy pink color along with a beautiful sheen that is not overpowering at all.  Below you can get a slightly better picture of how the color looks against my skin tone.  I have very fair skin and sometimes it's hard to find a blush that isn't too overpowering when it comes to color and since I'm 35 now; I don't want to look overly 'made up' and blush can either make or break your look.
