Jenulence Mineral Blush and Eye shadow Review and a Giveaway! Open worldwide and ends on July 25, 2012

Jenulence, a small family owned company and was created in 2003 out of our love for all-natural and pure cosmetics and skin care products.
Their company's motto is: If you can't eat it, don't use it on your skin.
I couldn't agree more with the above statement. There are SO many mineral makeup products out there which makes it that much more difficult when choosing which one to go with. In my opinion, we should all choose cruelty free mineral makeup that does not contain artificial ingredients. With Jenulence, you will not find nano-particles, micronized minerals or FD&C, D&C or Aluminum Lake dyes in their cosmetics. This is so important since our skin absorbs whatever we put on it.

The eye shadow is a nice, smokey color especially for an evening/night out. If you love the smokey eye look, this is a great crease color. The pigmentation is really nice; you can either apply to the eyelids for a light, soft effect or if you layer it on for a darker, more dramatic look.
The swatch on the left side (of the right picture) is the eye shadow applied after an eye primer. I love using eye primers because they not only intensify the color but they help the color to adhere a lot longer than they normally would. The swatch on the right is the Charcoal eye shadow without the eye primer. There is an ever so small amount of glitter. Don't worry, it's not the 'teenage' girly-girly kind of sparkle; just a nice shimmer that I find quite suitable for my 35 year old eyes!
If you've been searching high and low for a cruelty free, none of that other 'junk' included mineral makeup company, than take a look at Jenulence! They not only offer makeup but also offer cleansers, toners, moisturizers, lip balms, and even men's products.
WHERE TO BUY: You can purchase the mentioned products directly from their website HERE.
HOW TO CONNECT: You can connect with Jenulence on Facebook and Twitter.
Thanks to the wonderful, wonderful people at Jenulence, one of my lucky readers is going to win one blush and one eye shadow in their color.

Erth Minerals review and a generous giveaway! - OVER
I was searching the internet, one day, and came across Erth Minerals. I'm always intrigued by all of the different mineral makeup companies out there. The name 'Erth Minerals' is what got my attention. Most companies don't include a full list of their ingredients so you're stuck wondering if their products are really natural. On their website, there is a full list of the ingredients that are used in their products.
What is really neat is that if you currently use Bare Minerals they have a chart that compares Erth Minerals colors to that of Bare Minerals. I, personally, used Bare Minerals but the $26-$28 price tag is the reason I went on the hunt to find another brand. Erth Minerals foundation is only $15!

Next, I reviewed 3 different mineral eyeshadows. The one furthest to the left is Erth Cocoa. This shadow is a nice matte chocolate brown. The one in the middle is Erth Purple. This shadow is a really pretty deep purple with a slight shimmer. The one on the far right is Erth Vines. This shadow is a very pretty lavender, shimmer color. The colors in the picture, to the left, were created with only one stroke. You can layer them on to make a more dramatic effect or keep it light for a soft romantic look. Below, you will see the colors a little better in their pots. These eyeshadows are wonderful; they go on very smooth and the staying power is awesome! In the other 2 pictures below, I used all 3 colors on my lid. I love how the colors allowed my eyes to really stand out! I wore the colors light throughout the day and then darkened them up when going out.
I'm very thrilled about discovering Erth Minerals and I look forward to trying many more of their products.
HOW TO CONNECT: You can purchase directly from their website. You can also connect with them on Facebook and Twitter.
HOW TO WIN SOME OF YOUR VERY OWN: Vanessa from Erth Minerals has so generously offered to give one of my readers the opportunity to win a foundation, bronzer, blusher and gloss of your choice! How generous is that??!!! Contest is open worldwide and will end on March 20, 2012. Good luck to all!

New Year, New Giveaway- Monave Mineral Makeup Review and GIVEAWAY!

I had the pleasure of reviewing Monave Mineral Makeup. I was generously sent multiple samples to test out and review. Here is a little bit about the company from the website.
Monave started as a little seed...a dream to make makeup by hand, with simple ingredients. The seed also had the expectation that the products had to be high-quality, high-performance. I grew up working in health food stores, and much of the natural makeup wasn't very good. I didn't want Monave to be just another so-so natural makeup brand. As my little tree grew, so did my dream. It started to extend into the realm of developing and nurturing other women's ability and knowledge to create and sell their own makeup line. Some say that creates competition, but truly, the root of the tree lies in what is given away, not what is held tight.

Next I would like to talk about the mineral blush. I.LOVE.THIS.BLUSH! I love everything about it, from the color to the sheen, this blush has got to be on the very top of my list of favorite blushes. It's very hard to see the color, in the picture, but it's a beautiful pink meets cream, sandy salmon color, called Kasha, from their sultry blush collection. It gives your cheeks a gorgeous sandy pink color along with a beautiful sheen that is not overpowering at all. Below you can get a slightly better picture of how the color looks against my skin tone. I have very fair skin and sometimes it's hard to find a blush that isn't too overpowering when it comes to color and since I'm 35 now; I don't want to look overly 'made up' and blush can either make or break your look.

Last, but certainly not least, I would like to show you the mineral setting powder. I chose the color Angel. This is a nice setting powder and is definitely a great match. It adds that extra 'layer' to help hold the foundation and help absorb that extra oil. Works great!

My overall impression of Monave is a 5 star rating! Great makeup at a reasonable price. The eyeshadow goes for 7.50, the blush goes for 13.50, the foundation goes for 19.50 and the setting powder goes for 12.00.
WHERE TO BUY: You can purchase directly from their website here.
WANT TO WIN? Enter now for your chance to win your very own Try Me Set. This adorable little set is the perfect way to introduce your best friend or mom to Monave! Two foundation (loose mineral, or concealer foundation) shades of your (or her!) choice, one blush or bronzer, a baby buki, a moisturizer of choice, and a mini lip glaze, or liquid gloss of choice. What a deal! All wrapped up in a cute organza bag with accompanying brochure, and instruction booklet.

Smoky Mountain Minerals - Review and Giveaway Open to the US AND Canada

I've had the pleasure of reviewing some fabulous mineral makeup from Smoky Mountain Minerals! Until recently, I have not heard of this company before and I was super excited to give them a try. I'm always on the look out for mineral foundation that will actually match my skin color. I'm very pale with neither pink nor yellow tones. I've never really been able to find a color that matched perfectly. It was either too yellow or too pink and because of that I never really felt comfortable with my current color choice. Here is a little bit about the company:
Our mission is to make affordable healthy makeup and skin care available to everyone.
Specially formulated by Smoky Mountain Minerals to meet the highest standards of freshness and purity!
All minerals are madeup of pure minerals. No fillers, no perfumes, no oils, no additives. Pure minerals only!! Ingredients consist of sericite, titanium dioxide, iron oxides, silica spheres (excluding Illusion Veil and Glow). In addition to the ingredients listed above, our Illusion Veil and Glow also contain zeamays, cosmetic grade cornstarch for slip.
Some of the benefits of our minerals:
We do not use Bismuth Oxycholoride in our products. This is the ingredient several national brands use that can cause itching and redness. And since we do not use bismuth oxychloride, you do not have to "buff" your minerals in like you would other brands. Just apply as you would a regular face powder. Superior coverage!
Our minerals give you a very natural look. They are weightless and glide on like silk while still giving excellent coverage.
Stays on all day and is water-resistant. Swim, perspire, watch a sad movie. Just blot wetness don't wipe.
Now onto my review...
