Jelly Bean Rug Review and Giveaway - US only ends September 14, 2012

MadisonatMain.com is proud to announce the launch of our home decor consumer website. MadisonatMain.com is the culmination of over 100 years of combined experience in the Gift and Home Décor industry by the founders. This experience has given our team great instincts when it comes to recognizing trends in color and design.
Our goal at MadisonatMain.com is to bring great products at great prices to you, the consumer. From your first click on MadisonatMain.com, to the arrival of your purchase, every member of our team is dedicated to making your online shopping experience hassle free and satisfying.

I was given the opportunity to review a Jelly Bean Rug from Madison at Main. Jelly Bean Rugs come in a variety of colors and designs from bold, to soft and simple.

The rug, I decide on, fit the theme and color of their room, perfectly. The bold colors are perfect and fits my girls personalities ever so perfectly. The rug is 22" X 34" and is 1/2" thick; it's a good size rug. The bottom of the rug has little skid resistant thingies (for lack of better words) that help to keep the rug in place so it won't slip and slide around too much. My kids have a bright and vibrant room so I knew they rug would add that extra pop of bold color. The rug is machine washable, which is perfect considering my kids are always spilling stuff in their room. If you decided to use the rug as a 'welcome' mat, which will eventually become very dirty, it's nice to know that all you have to do is throw it in the washer; you'll want to wash it in cold water on the gentle cycle. For spot cleaning, Madison at Main suggests you use clean water and no soap unless it's just absolutely necessary. Soap residue will attract dirt and that's not good! Should you need to use soap, use a vinegar and water solution to rinse away the soap.

At times, I catch myself going into their room just to look at the rug. I just love the bold colors and the design. There was no way I was going to use this as a 'welcome' mat; it's just way too pretty!

Madison at Main offers a variety of Jelly Bean Rugs that are sure to suit every household. Check out some of the other super cute rugs they offer by visiting Madison at Main HERE.

You can connect with Madison at Main on Facebook and Twitter.

Thanks to the generosity of Madison at Main, one lucky US reader is going to win a Jelly Bean Rug of their own! Giveaway will be open until September 14, 2012. Good luck to all!

Honey Girl Organics Review and Giveaway - 4 winners! US only ends September 13, 2012

It all started, in Hawaii, with bee keeping hobby which eventially turned into making cremes for Anthony Maxfield's wife, Gwen. During the honey harvest, Anthony squeezed some honey our of the beeswax capping and his wife, Gwen, took notice of how smooth his hands were. She asked if he thought he could make a lotion that would leave her skin as wonderful as it had left his. About a year of experimenting, he found that when beeswax was emulsified in extra virgin olive oil, the skin would quickly drink it in and feel nourished and silky.

They have been making their products for many years, now, and have been giving them to their families and friends to use.

I love everything about honey, the smell, taste and unusual to some, the texture. Honey is so wonderful for your skin and even hair; mixing honey with your favorite hair conditioner will leave you with silky, soft hair. So when I was given the chance to try out some honey infused beauty products, you can imagine how excited I was!

Thanks to Honey Girl Organics, I was given the opportunity to try out their Facial Cleanser & Makeup Remover, Rejuvenating Mask, and their Face & Eye Creme. All 3 products are wonderful and provided me with fantastic results!

Let's start with the Facial Cleanser & Makeup Remover. This cleanser contains purified water, organic extra virgin olive oil, beeswax with pollen and propolis, and essential oil. It's cruelty free and noncomedogenic and is produced from their holistically managed Hawaiian beehives. Before applying, make sure you shake the contents really well, since it is highly concentrated. I pump about 6 times to get the perfect amount of cleanser to effectively remove my makeup. Keep in mind that this cleanser will not suds up in any way. After applying to the face, you should remove the cleanser with a warm, damp washcloth. To remove your eye makeup, use a moistened cotton ball. I found the Facial Cleanser & Makeup Remover to be highly effective in removing all traces of my makeup and leaving my skin feeling moisturized and silky smooth. The smell is so hard to describe but, smells out of this world! This cleanser will run you around $19.99 for a 4 fl. oz. pump container.

My absolute favorite product, of the 3, is the Rejuvenating Mask. This mask is super sticky but boy it hydrates my face like you wouldn't believe! The smell, unlike the Facial Cleanser & Makeup Remover, is very easy to describe; honey is what your going to smell from this product! It was so tempting to lick my fingertips after applying! This mask contains organic, raw pupukea wildfower honey, french green clay, organic, diatomaceous earch, Hawaiian blue green algae, royal jelly, and propolis. Apply this mask to moist, cleansed skin by adding a couple of drops of water to your fingertips to help spread all over your face. It's recommended you leave on your face for 5-15 minutes; I leave it on for the full 15 minutes for maximum results! It washes off easily and after patting my face dry, my skin is SO soft! My only complaint is that if you get any of the product around the rim of the jar, which you will, it becomes difficult screwing and unscrewing the lid; yes, the texture is that sticky but, I LOVE it so much! The Rejuvenating Mask will run you around $26.99.

After patting my face dry, I apply the Face & Eye Creme. This creme contains organic extra virgin olive oil, purified water, organic beeswax, organic raw honey, organic bee pollen, organic propolis, oil of rose, organic royal jelly, Vitamin E, other essential oils. The smell is about the same as the Facial Cleanser & Makeup Remover; wonderful, but hard to describe! After applying at night, I wake up in the morning to super soft skin that feels moisturized and hydrated. My only complaint is that it tends to make my super oily face even oilier. That isn't too much of a big deal since it is a nice creme. It absorbs nicely into the skin; a very little goes a very long way. The Face & Eye Creme will run you around $30.99 for a 1.75 fl.oz. jar.

I was highly impressed with their products and am looking forward to trying out more, especially their lotion!

You can purchase any of these products directly from their website HERE.

You can connect with Honey Girl Organics on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

Thanks to the generous people over at Honey Girl Organics, Four (4) lucky winners from the US will be receiving their very own Honey Girl Organics product. You will have the choice between the Facial Cleanser & Makeup Remover OR the Rejuvenating Mask. This giveaway will end on September 13, 2012. Good luck to all!

Flatiron Experts Review

FROM THEIR WEBSITE

Our job here at Flat Iron Experts Online Beauty Shop is to answer all your questions, educate you and hopefully guide you in making the right choices. The flat iron industry is constantly evolving with new trends and developments. We will keep you up-to-date with the latest technology in the market.
As a customer-centric company, providing world class customer service is always our top priority. We work hard to ensure that our product knowledge, product availability, reliable delivery, and unprecedented customer service work cohesively to create a great shopping experience.

I was given the opportunity to review Flatiron Experts. I was sent the H&R Flatiron, KQC Thermal Shine Spray and a Flat Iron Experts Iron Holder. I've used a variety of flat irons, from a low end to a higher end. I find the lower end flat irons tend to ruin my hair twice as fast as a high end flat iron. I have one that I have been using for several years now and it has never failed me. I paid a good amount of money for it so when I received the H&R Tourmaline Ceramic Flat Iron I was eager to try out their "Best Budget" iron which will cost you around $95.95. Tourmaline and Ceramic are top of the line materials that will glide through the hair with ease while creating superior shine. Tourmaline and ceramic plates helps to eliminate frizz and causes less damage to the hair, which is a huge plus for me. I've experienced flat irons that created so much frizz and caused so much damage that I had to go darn near a year, without styling, just to repair the damage I had created. I have been using the H&R Tourmaline Ceramic Flat Iron, daily, for about a month and have not noticed any damage. All I notice is gorgeous, frizz free, shiny hair!

I took the above picture without the flash so you could get an idea of how shiny and smooth the plates are. This helps the plates to glide right through my hair with little to no tugging.

The settings, on the H&R flat iron, are very simple and easy to understand. Of course, there is your on and off switch along with your temperature control. The LED light is red and flashes red when it's heated to the desired temperature. The temperature ranges from 140-410 degrees. If you have very thin or fine hair, go with the lower temperature setting. If you have coarse, thick hair, use the highest temperature setting. For my hair, which is fine but I have a lot of, I set the temperature to around 280 degrees.

The KQC Thermal Shine Spray is wonderful! I didn't care for the smell what-so-ever but it certainly does the job of protecting my hair from the heat and helping to give my hair that superior shine I love so much!

The Flat Iron Experts Iron Holder is a wonderful "resting" place for your flat iron. After using your iron, just place it in the holder and your done. The suction cups, at the bottom, are a wonderful addtion in keeping the holder in place.

Flat Iron Experts carries various brands of flat irons such as NuMe, Avanti, and Chi...just to name a few. Check out their website HERE.

Shielo - Summer Hair Needs Extra Care - Review and Giveaway US/CAN ends September 4, 2012

Shielo Hair Shampoo Conditioner Treatment

Our philosophy is to create products with integrity and ensure that we preserve the future well-being of our environment. Shielo is against animal cruelty and proud to use post-consumer recycled and recyclable packaging.
Vegan & Natural Base
Our products contain the highest quality ingredients from nature, combined with advances in haircare research to ensure desired performance and ultimate results. As an organization, we have committed to developing naturally-based formulas infused with organic botanicals harvested from plants grown without the use of synthetic pesticides or chemicals.

With that philosophy, you know you've just discovered a great company. Question is, how great are their products? Well, I'm going to tell a little bit about the products I received.

I was sent 2 products from their Hydrate line, the Moisturizing Shampoo and Vibrancy Conditioner, along with their popular Antioxidant Leave-In Protectant spray. The combination of these 3 products left my hair so wonderfully soft and full of body and shine.

The Moisturizing Shampoo was just that, moisturizing! I could tell an immediate difference once the shampoo was completely rinsed out. I understand that shampoo's responsibility is to cleanse the hair by getting rid of product build-up and grime but I never really thought of shampoo as moisturizing until I used this. I normally consider moisturizing as the conditioners job. Shampoo varies from label to label and some are just too heavy for my hair and others just are too light. There was a perfect balance with Shielo's Moisturizing Shampoo. Be warned that a little bit truly does go a long way. I have hair that is past my bra strap and I tend to over pour when it comes to shampoo. My first time using Shielo Moisturizing Shampoo was no exception; I used WAY more than what was necessary. Only use enough to cleanse the scalp. Conditioner is used for the ends since they're a lot more drier than the hair near the scalp. The Vibrancy Conditioner was awesome! Same as the shampoo, a little goes a very long way so go easy on it...you don't want to waste any! I don't style my hair everyday but when I do, my ends dry out so quickly. After just one use of the Vibrancy Conditioner, I could tell an immediate difference in the look and feel of my ends. The conditioner is light and extremely moisturizing. I do not like a heavy conditioner since my hair is long, it tends to become weighed down and kind of oily looking.

The importance of healthy hair is to take care of it and try to read the ingredient list. The Moisturizing Shampoo does not contain sulfates. Sulfates are harsh on the hair and cause it dry out a lot quicker than we'd like it to. This line is great for color treated hair. The more moisturized your hair is, the more vibrant the color is and will not fade as quickly...sounds great, right - you bet it does!

The Antioxidant Leave-In is paraben free and contains UV protection with organic extracts. This is one fabulous leave-in. It contains amino acids that infuse hair with vitamins while providing UV protection while eliminating frizz and protecting hair from styling tools...great stuff!

Give Shielo Moisturizing Shampoo, Vibrancy Conditioner and the Leave-In Protectant spray a shot, you'll be amazed by the results.

WHERE TO BUY:  You can purchase Shielo HERE.

HOW TO CONNECT:  You can connect with Shielo Hair Care on Facebook and Twitter.

Thanks to the wonderful people over at Shielo, one lucky reader from the US or Canada will win the Moisturizing Shampoo, Vibrancy Conditioner, and the Leave-In Protectant spray! This giveaway will end on September 4, 2012. Good luck to all!

Mineral Hygienics - A flawless complexion is just a few swipes away!

There are countless companies, out there, that claim to have the best mineral makeup money can buy.  Some do, most don't. I've had my fair share of great mineral makeup; I've had my fair share of not so great mineral makeup. Way back when, many years ago, I used to wear liquid foundation; liquid foundation is just way too heavy for my oily face. When I discovered mineral makeup I knew I as going to be a user for life. Though I stayed loyal to  the first brand of mineral makeup I had tried, I had to stray in hopes of finding something a little more  in my color range. I received the Sheer Mineral Foundation in Fairly Light (RV $25) and Light (RV $25), along with the Sheer Perfection in Matte (RV $19), Mineral Enhancer in Cool Kiss (RV $20) and a full color kabuki brush (RV $28) - I love how soft the bristles are on the kabuki brush!

The amount of mineral makeup available on the market will literally make your head spin. Which ones do you try; which ones do you stay away from? I vaguely remembering hearing about Mineral Hygienics; ah yes, just another mineral makeup company...to add to the other 1.5 billion out there.  When I was given the opportunity to review some of their products, I was all for it! Heck yea, I'll give it a try, I mean what could it possibly hurt?!  It didn't hurt a thing I tell ya! Holy mineral makeup, my skin was completely transformed! The picture, on the left, is my face with absolutely nothing on it. The second picture was taken after applying Sheer Mineral Perfection in Light followed by Sheer Perfection Mineral Finish in Matte. The third picture is the full transformation including eye shadow, liner, mascara, blush and brow color - (those particular products were not from Mineral Hygienics).

Please click the photo to enlarge!

As you can see from the picture on the left, you can see uneven color, a blemish on my nose, and darkness under the eyes. The picture in the middle, as stated above, was created using the Light mineral foundation followed by the Sheer Perfection Mineral Finish in Matte. Mineral Hygiences truly gives the look of flawless skin. Can you see the difference in the before and after? I'm definitely NOT into editing photos so, what you are seeing is the real deal! The staying power was fabulous. I was a little oily throughout the day, but with the help of Sheer Perfection Mineral Finish in Matte, it helped to absorb the oil; it can be reapplied throughout the day without caking up and clogging the pores. I even slept in the makeup and did not wake up with break-outs, as I tend to do when I sleep in my makeup.

I have very fair skin; currently, I have a ever so slight tan so the Sheer Mineral Foundation in Light was perfect. When I'm not tan, the Fairly Light is a perfect match for me.

I love the Mineral Enhancer in Cool Kiss. What this bronzer does is add a fresh glow to individuals with a cool skin tone. There are different shades of enhancers to enhance all skin tones. I just swapped it across my forehead, cheekbones, bridge of the nose and chin. I, personally, wouldn't really call it a bronzer as the color doesn't really look like the "normal" bronze color I'm used to but, I think I love it even more than my other bronzers. Some of my bronzers tend to make me look too dark, in comparison to the color of my neck. Cool Kiss was a perfect hint of color.

Looking for great coverage that matches your complexion perfectly? I would highly recommend you check out Mineral Hygienics. It's worth it when you have a 100% Iron Clad money back guarantee and a 100% color match guarantee! You just can't lose.

Thymes Goldleaf Parfum Review

Thymes

Are you a lover of various, fascinating smells?  Thymes is the place to go when you are in need of that perfect fragrance for your home, or bath and body.

I was given the opportunity to review Thymes Gold Leaf Parfum. This fragrance is a very soft scent filled with soft floral notes accented by oriental and green notes. Although I loved this scent, I found it to be a more mature scent, not like the scents that I normally wear. First whiff of Gold Leaf immediately took me back to my childhood; this is the way that my granny would smell. I can't for the life of me remember what she used to wear but, Gold Leaf is a highly similar scent. I find myself spraying it on just so I can remember the days, from so long ago, with my granny. After spraying it on, my mom asked what that smell was and how it really smelled familiar. She loved the scent so I gladly gave it to her. I love to smell the scent on my mother just as she remembers the similar scent worn from her mother.

I would love to try out some of their other scents such as the yummy sounding Agave Nectar Cologne or the very intriguing Kimono Rose Cologne.

Their home fragrance collection looks wonderful, too. Check out some of their products such as their gorgeous candles and home decor:

Aroma Rice Cooker/Steamer - Review and Giveaway - US only ends September 2, 2012

Go to Aroma Home Page

Aroma has been around for quite a while now. They offer everything from Rice Cookers, Steamers, Deep Fryers, Ice Cream Makers to Pressure Cookers and much more. They make quality products at affordable prices.

I love rice and always tend to find myself cooking a dish that somehow involves that wonderful grain; whether it be rice inside the dish or as a side dish. When I was given the chance to review an Aroma Rice Cooker, I couldn't have been more happy.  I love the taste and quality of restaurant rice and was looking forward to producing the same results from home.

I have a family of 5 and felt the 2-8 cup Rice Cooker would be the perfect size. The Aroma Rice Cooker and Food Steamer comes with a steamer tray, measuring cup, and a serving spatula. The steamer tray is good for steaming vegetables or meats while the rice cooks in the non-stick pot at the bottom. The spatula is great for stirring and serving. There are many features of the rice cooker that I love and are beneficial to achieving the perfect meal each and every time. If you work outside of the home, you can set the timer, in one hour increments up to 15 hours, to be ready by the time you get home. Once the cooking is done, the rice cooker automatically sets to warm until you're ready to eat. With one push of a button, you are guaranteed to have the perfect rice ready in a matter of minutes.  The amount of rice you intend to cook will make a difference in the amount of time it takes to cook. The 6 buttons you see below are the Delay Timer - good to use if you're going to be gone for a few hours; to the right of that is the power button; below that is the Brown Rice button; to the left of that is the White Rice button; below that is the Steam button and to the right of that is the Keep Warm button. Each light up accordingly.

There is a removable piece in the back; this is where the condensation is released.

An instructional booklet comes with the Aroma Rice Cooker; there you will find everything you need to know in order to operate your rice cooker. You will also find some recipes; I'm a huge fan of Jambalaya so I decided to try out their version. I included everything except the shrimp, not a huge fan, and I added some diced tomatoes...yum! Here is the finished result:

The Aroma Rice Cooker isn't just for rice, veggies, and meat; it's also great to use for soups and stews.  I can't wait to make more dishes using my new rice cooker. I'm very impressed with the quality, which is something to be expected from Aroma. The clean-up was so easy since the pot is non-stick; that's what I'm talking about!

So, are you ready to make fast and healthy meals that are ready when you are?

HOW TO CONNECT:  You can connect with Aroma Housewares on Facebook and Twitter.

WHERE TO BUY:  Head on over to their website HERE to purchase your own rice cooker.

OR

That's right! One lucky reader from the US is going to win an Aroma Rice Cooker! Giveaway will end on September 2, 2012.  Good luck to all!
