Reviva Labs Makeup Primer, Brighten & Lighten and Non-Chemical Light Skin Peel Review/Giveaway - US Only Ends August 22, 2012

What 38 Years of Skin Care experience means to you.
(From their website)

In 1973 when Reviva Labs was established, the word “Exfoliation” was unknown in America. That was 38 years ago. It’s when Reviva Labs introduced the first non-chemical European Exfoliant to Health Food Stores, known as “Light Skin Peel”. It’s unique formula and blending remains unduplicated today.

Because Reviva has been a “quiet” company, most of you are probably not aware that Reviva was also the first in Health Food Stores with:
  • A milder, non-drying program for acne
  • Elastin
  • Topical trace minerals
  • Glycolic Acid (from dermatologist source)
  • Hyaluronic Acid
  • Vitamin P for spider veins and rosacea
  • A new - ingredient-complex for under eye dark circles and others

It was (and is today) the testing of product safety and performance in various skin care salons that has been a unique and key factor in Reviva’s history of product effectiveness.

Product effectiveness is not only a matter of the right ingredients but the experience in blending the proper percentages. And the knowledge of the interaction of those ingredients.

The wrong percentage of one of the active ingredients could inactivate the performance of the product.

Think about what you’ve learned from your own experiences over the years. Then, please consider what 38 years of skin care experience can mean to you the next time you’re buying skin- care products.

Although Health Food Stores are Reviva’s major distribution channel, Reviva’s origins are actually in professional skin care salons. Reviva’s founder, Stephen Strassler, is one of America’s earliest Aestheticians.

Wow, when I first read the above statement, I couldn't believe I haven't heard of Reviva Labs before.  They've been around for so long and I'm just now finding out about them?!  I want to tell you, today, just how happy I am to have discovered 3 wonderful products and why I wish I had discovered them sooner.  For a skincare company to be around for that long, you know they have to be doing something right, I mean, 38 years is quite a while for any company to be around!

Before I write my reviews, I like to browse around other sites to see what other people are saying about that particular product. I'm always nervous when trying out new products and I like to get an idea of how the product(s) react with other's skin.  I have somewhat sensitive skin but have never really had any trouble with products breaking me out. When I came across the many reviews of Reviva Labs Makeup Primer, I knew this was the first product I needed to try. See, I have super oily skin and I have yet to really find a primer that can hold up to the "after lunchtime" oil slick that I call my face. I thought I had found my perfect primer but it was way too drying and my skin felt way too tight after using it. Did it work? Yes it did and I know I dislike my oily skin but, I did not like how dry and tight my face felt...it was icky!  With makeup primer, you can use it alone under makeup or over moisturizer. Even though I have oily skin, I still use a moisturizer which can make my skin even oilier. With that said, I apply my regular moisturizer, let dry and then apply Reviva Labs Makeup Primer and let dry. The consistency is very light and silky. Oh my gosh, it's so silky; I was so tempted to use it as a hand lotion as it made my fingertip so soft!  I was kind of afraid, when applying, that I would end up being a greasy mess by the end of the day; I couldn't have been more wrong. Granted, I was still a little oily by the end of the day but, my makeup did not budge and you could still see my eye shadow and blush. My mineral makeup when on so much easier and it gave me a soft, flawless look. This product retails for $19.50; you use very little therefore it will last you a long time.

I was also excited to try the Brighten & Lighten Facial Cleanser. The facial cleanser deep cleanses as it helps brighten the complexion. I'm half hispanic and I have problems with blotchy skin and areas that are a little darker than others. After using the cleanser, I found my complexion to be so much brighter and healthier looking and after multiple uses, I noticed my complexion evening out a lot more and the darker areas lightening up. This cleanser features whitening ingredients like mulberry, lime, kojic acid, and vitamin C ester supported by mildly exfoliating lactic acid and corn meal. This cleanser is great for those with uneven skin tone or discoloration. Any skin type can benefit from this cleanser. I wasn't too wild about the smell but, it works and I can overlook that minor flaw. I would recommend using makeup remover before using this cleanser as it doesn't remove makeup very well. This product retails for $9.50.

After using the cleanser, I applied the Non-Chemical Light Skin Peel.  The jar says that it revitalizes, clears and brightens. It also claims that this unduplicated exfoliant shows immediate results; it dissolves lifeless skin cells and helps eliminate impurities. I found all of this to be 100% true, in my case. The texture reminds me of glue with a little grittiness to it. The smell, to me, is a little bit medicinal but not strong. You apply, in a thin layer over your face, once a week, and let dry for 3-5 minutes. I left it on for about 5 minutes. Once it dries, you either rub it off with your fingertips or wipe off with a dry towel. First time I used this, I rubbed it off with my fingers; that took way too long for me so the next time I used it, I used a dry towel. After a wiped it off, what was revealed was beautiful, soft, and glowing skin!  I seriously could NOT believe my eyes nor could I stop touching my face! I wanted to use this every single day but, I only use it as directed and will continue to do so. I was so impressed; I couldn't wait to write up this review and share my newest discovery with you all! This product retails for $20.

I have found a company that I trust to give me the results that were promised! I can't even begin to stress how much I highly recommend all 3 of these products. Whether you have oily or dry, light or dark skin, you can benefit from all 3 of these products - give it a shot, you just might be glad you did!

If you're hispanic and you would like to know how to improve skin tone, texture and clarity, I highly recommend you read this article HERE.

WHERE TO BUY:  You can purchase these products and other Reviva Lab Products from their website HERE.

HOW TO CONNECT:  You can connect with Reviva labs on Facebook and Twitter.

It's giveaway time!!  Thanks to the ever so wonderful folks over at Reviva Labs, one lucky US reader will win all 3 products that I reviewed!  That's a retail value of $49!  Giveaway will end on August 22, 2012.  Good luck to all!
