Mountain Rose Herbs Invigorating Hair Oil Review & GIVEAWAY!
While looking around on the internet, one day, I came across Mountain Rose Herbs. Anything with the word herbs in the title tend to grab my attention. Here is a little bit about the company and their products (from their website).
The Company
Since 1987 Mountain Rose Herbs has been known for its uncompromising commitment to organic agriculture and steadfast focus on the pure aesthetics and freshness of botanical products.Throughout all of these magnificent and developmental years we have always put an emphasis on conducting business in an ethical, responsible, clear, and ecological way; hoping to pave a medium for other blossoming green companies. During this time we have always found it in our nature to purport the advantages of organic agriculture, fund non profit organizations, contribute our time to numerous social and environmental groups, stay involved in community action campaigns, and develop cultivation programs for endangered botanicals. Yet, in the midst of these exciting and sometimes tumultuous times, we have always guaranteed our customers the absolute best in quality organic herbal products at very competitive prices.
The Products
Organic Herbal Products All of the products processed and offered by Mountain Rose Herbs are handled, analyzed and supervised by a full time quality control department. Every aspect of all our products, from the procurement, and the receiving, to the processing and packaging, is done in accordance to strict quality control and organic handling procedures. The products we offer you are guaranteed fresh, fragrant and colorful, and unlike traditional suppliers of herbal products who keep their merchandise stored in warehouses for several years, Mountain Rose Herbs will never sell or stock products that are more than a few months from harvest (except for seasonal items). This in itself guarantees you a fresh, and effective botanical preparation. Since 1987 Mountain Rose Herbs has placed a priority on our general health and well-being, and in this time we have completely removed all conventionally grown materials from our product line entirely.
I have to say that I LOVE any and all things organic. I especially love organic hair and beauty products, which brings me to my review on the Invigorating Hair Oil. A while back, I posted on how I was losing quite a bit of hair...more than the average 100-200 strands a day, that's for sure. While looking through their products, the Invigorating Hair Oil definitely caught my attention. Here is little description of the product.
Invigorating Hair Oil was expressly developed for the purpose of delivering luxuriant hair and healthy roots. Organic Jojoba oil is great for root follicles allowing oxygen in and thereby encouraging new growth, while our luscious essential oil blend is both stimulating and nourishing to the scalp. Start with a few drops of Invigorating Hair Oil in the palm of your hand and rub into the scalp with your fingertips; then brush the hair gently and thoroughly from scalp to ends. For a complete hair treatment, apply the oil to wet hair and thoroughly massage in. Wrap the hair with a hot damp towel and leave on for 20 to 30 minutes. Remove towel and shampoo well.
Contains: Organic Jojoba oil and a proprietary blend of organic essential oils.
This is what I wanted to review! I washed my hair like normal, towel tried and used about 5 pumps worth of oil and gently massaged onto my scalp. I then used a plastic cap to cover my entire head and sat under my portable hard hat hair dryer for about 20 minutes (note, you can also wrap your hair in a hot damp towel). Once time was up, I shampooed my scalp. If you don't, you will have an unsitely oily scalp (whoopsies to me for not shampooing the first time I used this hehe). I did this, 2x a week, for a month and I'm extremely happy to report that I have honestly had A LOT less shedding!! I couldn't have been more thrilled with the results. We naturally shed but when you shed to the point that your scalp is starting to show through, that is NOT normal shedding!! I definitely have less shedding and only time will tell when it comes to regrowth (I'll keep you updated). My scalp feels so good after using the oil. Note this oil is not just for those with thinning hair; using this oil will help to stimulate and nourish your scalp. Healthy Scalp = Happy Hair! Even if you have dandruff or just an itchy dry scalp, this hair oil will work wonders!
WHERE TO BUY: Mountain Rose Herbs sells herbs, spices, teas, bath and body care, aromatherapy and essential oils and much more. Visit their website today!
You can connect with them on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube! They also have a blog, you should check out as well.
WANT TO WIN A BOTTLE FOR YOURSELF? Mountain Rose Herbs has generously offered to give one of my readers the chance to win a bottle for themselves! Contest will be open Internationally and will close on January 4, 2011. Good luck to all!
