Jewelry Bar Review and a pair of earrings to give away! Open worldwide Ends April 26, 2012

The company, Jewelry Bar, is very young, but has already gained a great success among not only the New York City, Long Island, Boston, Washington D.C. and Philadelphia fashionistas, but also among the US visitors from all over the world. There are two heads in this company, Mariya and Anna, who both were born and raised in one of the most beautiful cities in the world – Saint Petersburg, Russia. They moved to New York to introduce the European view of fashion to America. They both started from working in fashion industry for the world's leading companies, and eventually got to the point when their own company was born.

I received a beautiful pair of Marble Earrings that are gold finished with aqua crystals; drop is 1.50.  These earrings truly are stunning when you see them close up.  My youngest daughter has been wearing them just about everyday so I haven't even had the chance to wear them for myself.  I'm known to wear some really big earrings so wearing something 'normal' in size seems like a challenge (hehe) but since these are so cute and classy, I think I'm going really enjoy wearing them....I know my daughter sure has!

These earrings will look fabulous with just about any outfit.  Look how cute they are on my ladybug!

Jewelry Bar offers a nice variety of jewelry at reasonable prices.  I was previously aware or Jewelry Bar but had not purchased anything before...sheez what was I waiting for??  There are quite a few pieces that I would love to own and plan on purchasing soon!

If you are looking for some affordable pieces of jewelry, than you really should check out Jewelry Bar.  Oh yea, they have sandals too!

WHERE TO BUY AND HOW TO CONNECT:  You can purchase their beautiful jewelry and sandals from their website HERE.  You can connect with Jewelry Bar on Facebook and Twitter.

HOW TO WIN:  One lucky reader is going to win the same pair of earrings that I did!  This contest is open WORLDWIDE and will end on April 25, 2012.  Good luck to all!

TangerineLuLu jewelry review and an awesome $30 GC Giveaway!

A little bit about TangerineLulu
from the website

Green Apple Heart necklace with handblown green heart pendant, acrylic cube beads, sterling spiralsI bought my first piece of handcrafted jewelry twenty years ago at an outdoor art fair in Florida - a fun little amorphous creature pin crafted from a piece of slate with dangly little coiled copper arms and legs. I was just enthralled with the creativity and joyous spirit of the jewelry artists that I saw that day, and from that moment I was hooked.
I had the wonderful good fortune to own a store where I sold contemporary craft and lots of handcrafted jewelry made by artists from all over the U.S. and Canada for five years. Many of my customers told me that they had come to love handcrafted jewelry so much that their shopping routine had become first selecting a piece of jewelry and then buying clothes to go with it!
Crystal Blue Persuasion necklace with blue jasper drop, glass and foil beads, fluorite, and silverplated beads Handcrafted work in all media is becoming more desirable because it provides a connection to the person who created it and the pleasure of knowing very often that the item is totally unique. In a world of ever-increasing reliance on electronic devices as opposed to human interaction, handcrafted items are a lovely way to embrace the beauty of a low-tech creation.
My logo is very special to me because it is a portrait of me and my dog that my darling husband commissioned from a most gifted painter, Dana Shavin of Barking Horse Studios as a surprise birthday gift. My dog's favorite toy in the world is a little red ball, and Dana thought it would be fun to put it on her head! The talented Camille Chung, here on Etsy, created my logo.
I'm enjoying searching for unusual beads and stones and incorporating them into pieces of jewelry that are, in most cases, one of a kind. Let me share my love of handcrafted jewelry with you, and I hope you'll find wearing my pieces uplifting and fun and that you'll check back often to see what's new!

I was so excited when Marsha, of TangerineLuLu, agreed to let me write a review on one of her pieces.  It took me, what seemed like hours, to choose what I would like to review.  She asked that I choose several items and she would send me one from my list of picks as a surprise.  I was EXTREMELY pleased when I received the Purple Mist necklace with purple riverstone, deep plum quartz teardrops, plum and black glass beads, and clear crystal beads. Wow, it is truly a stunning piece of jewelry.  I have never worn a necklace of this length and I was a little nervous about it, at first, but once I tried it on all nerves had settled.  I loved it and didn't want to take it off!  I love the look of the necklace and how it sat around my neck.  So beautiful and elegant.

What I love, too, is that it has a toggle clasp.  For me, I find that to be much easier than a regular fastener..but that is just my opinion.  Also, I feel that it makes the necklace look that much more elegant.

Below you will see the necklace in whole, and a close up shot of how beautiful the purple is on this piece.

Isn't the necklace just gorgeous?  It is a MUST that you head on over to her shop and take a look at all of her gorgeous pieces.  You will certainly have a tough time choosing just one piece!

HOW TO CONNECT:  You can find TangerineLuLu on Etsy HERE.  You can also connect with her on Facebook HERE.

HOW TO WIN:  How would you like to win a $30 Gift Certificate to go towards anything in her shop?  Well, that is what Marsha has generously offered to do!  One lucky reader will win the $30 gift certificate by filling out the rafflecopter form below.  This contest is open to the US/CAN and will close on February 10, 2012.  Good luck to all!

In 2008, Misty Kirby acted on a life long desire to buy, design, and sell jewelry and fashion accessories, and what started as a way to earn extra money for a trip to Disneyland became Paparazzi.

Starting just before one of the biggest crashes on Wall Street and the worst recession in the USA since the great depression, Paparazzi not only survived but grew rapidly. In September of 2009 Misty joined forces with her sister, Chani, exhibiting throughout the Western United States at women’s expos, large outdoor fairs, rodeos, boutiques, themed expos, and even house parties. Regardless of the venue or locale, the response is the same ….women love Paparazzi because it gives them the opportunity to purchase trendy accessories at an affordable price.

Paparazzi sells some gorgeous affordable jewelry and hair accessories for only $5!!  WHAT??  Yes, FIVE whole dollars!  I'm telling you, that price just can't be beat.

I was pleasantly surprised and super excited to wear it.  I think that a really pretty necklace just helps to complete any outfit!  When that necklace is only $5, that makes it just that much more sweet :)

I love long necklaces and this one certainly did not disappoint. It came with a cute little pair of earrings; I'm not so much into small earrings so my daughter gladly accepting them.  I love how the necklace ties with a ribbon tie..so cute!

I had heard of Paparazzi but I had no idea that their jewelry was only $5!  I will most definitely be purchasing some jewelry from them (Mandi, that is)  in the future!

"I've been making jewelry for the last 5 years. The way I started was actually being diagnosed with fibromyalgia about 7 years ago. I was couch bound for about 2 years before they figured out what was wrong with me. I was in a very bad place and just couldn't live like that anymore. Its how I discovered my talent having all that time on my hands. I always say that making jewelry saved my life. Its given me back my purpose in life. To be so passionate about something is simply AWESOME. I LOVE what I do!!! I make all types of jewelry. Alot of love goes into every piece I make. I hope you love my creations as much as I do."

Judie's Jems is definitely one of a kind when it comes to her jewelry!  You MUST believe me when I say this... just take a look at the Huge Rhinestone Flower Freshwater Pearl Necklace, above.  Isn't that a gorgeous piece of jewelry?!! Simply breathtaking.  Judie made this necklace out of freshwater pearls and a brooch that was turned into a pendant.  One of kind necklace.  The pendent clearly has a lot of beautiful sparkle to it; you are sure to stand out on a night out with your spouse or a night out with the girls.

Its finished in sterling silver plate chain and hdwr. It measures 17" and will extend to 19".

Kawaii Buddies Review

Today, I would love to introduce you to an Etsy shop called Kawaii Buddies..cute buddies to warm your heart and soul!  Created and designed by Candace Owens, she came from a very creative family and she has always thought that it was just instilled in her at an early age.

(From her Etsy page)

Hello Kitty Hat with Pink Zebra Print Bow "When I got into elementary school, I was known to make and sell my crafts. I guess you could say that I was an adolescent entrepreneur. I started by making stickers from a sticker machine that my parents had purchased for me for Christmas one year. Then when Pogs were popular, I started making my own and selling those. In middle school I began making seed bead hippie flowered necklaces and sold those. I remember always having extra cash at 12 years old which at that age, was rare at my school. Needless to say, I had a lot of friends because I gave discounts to friends then. My fascination of crafting led me to buying many jewelry magazines and books to further discover technique. I loved making jewelry but soon found that it is a hard business to make work in the crafting world mainly for the reason that it is one of the most popular crafts and the market for it is overwhelmed by sellers. So, when I received an antique (circa 1906-1910) heirloom singer treadle sewing machine I began to learn about sewing. Since then, I have been on a journey while designing and making my own kawaii hats and plushies.

I am constantly looking for new crafts and mediums. I love to create and make things with my hands. If my hands aren't busy, then I am usually not happy. I have an entire room in our house which is devoted to crafts. We have sections, shelves and drawers assigned to each medium. There are places for polymer clay, scrapbooking, sewing, jewelry, origami, painting, drawing, card making, bead making, wire weaving and wrapping, beading, etc. We are a very busy couple indeed."

Her shop is so unique!  You will find some VERY cute jewelry, like the ones you see below:

I just love the Strawberry Cake with Chocolate Frosting Cake adjustable ring, and those adorable Sub Sandwich earrings.

She even has miniature dollhouse items!  Aren't they so darn cute?!

Texas Take is an Etsy shop that sells gorgeous 'chunky' jewelry.  Amber, the owner, is a freelance writer and magazine editor who enjoys making jewelry in her spare time.  She also has a killer thing for turquoise and chunky necklaces, which is no longer a secret with the launch of her Etsy shop!

PASTEL RODEO: Chunky turquoise and pastel pearl & crystal necklace with extra large, magnetic turquoise cross pendant

Turquoise and chunky go so beautifully together, don't they?!  I Just love this Pastel Rodeo Chunky necklace. I just can't express enough how much I love anything turquoise. The necklace you see, to the left, has lots of turquoise and bling.  Adding bling just makes the necklace that much more gorgeous.

A little about Annelise and Bling Time Accessories (This article was not written by me)

In the case of Bling Time Accessories, it started with Annelise Brown and in little over a year has grown to over 40 employees and a healthy bottom line.  Like herself, many of her employees are stay-at-home moms looking to earn extra income for their families. However in this struggling economy, some employees are also unemployed baby boomers trying to stay afloat and high school kids grateful to earn money around their studies.

Even Annelise is surprised by the growth. She’s always loved to create, only this time her creation has taken on a life of its own.  “When I took my jewelry to my first craft show, I was surprised how popular it was. We nearly sold out. These women bought nearly everything I had,” explains Annelise.
Her jewelry is beautiful, but it’s the unique, patent-pending design that really makes it different. A single necklace can be worn as a bracelet, belt or even as boot bling. She’s also added watches and bag bling to the line – each piece unique and each interchangeable. The jewelry allows women to be creative in their own way with a little style from Annelise.
Annelise understands the desire to be creative and stylish in your own way. It’s the passion to create that gives Annelise the greatest satisfaction. That and a business that frees her to spend time with her four boys and husband. A perk Annelise passes on to her employees.
With 14 craft shows a year across the country, two kiosks in Sandy, UT and Des Moines, Iowa, plus several daily orders from Bling Time’s website and Etsy shop – there’s a lot of demand to fill. And a lot of opportunity for others. Annelise Brown is a creative force to be reckoned with and judging by her success, America needs more like her.

Christina Greene Review

Turquoise and Gold Teardrop
CHRISTINA GREENE
With a love for creative and unique designs, Christina Greene has always loved turning her ideas into reality. As a young girl, you could find Christina playing dress up in her mother's jewelry or making her own friendship bracelets to share with her friends. During high school, her love and passion for jewelry making only grew as she developed her skills through an art class dedicated to jewelry.

A love for travel has educated Christina beyond her college level of education. While traveling in Africa, Christina experienced many different lifestyles where she spent majority of her time developing her photography skills and gaining inspiration for her future jewelry line. A recent trip to Belize inspired her new Belizean Sea Collection!

One to always live life by its fullest, Christina launched her own brand in April of 2011 - Christina Greene - a unique one of kind handmade collection made of semi-precious stones and gold tone findings.
Christina Greene lives in Houston, TX where she develops and hand makes all her designs in her apartment.

The Christina Greene collection has grown from her initial love of vintage to her own full-blown jewelry line. Still incorporating some vintage pieces through her Vintage Designs line, Christina has taken what she loves about vintage and turned it into what you see before you now. Constantly creating and coming up with new items to share with you, Christina Greene designs is sure to have something to meet your own creative taste.

You can find the Christina Greene collection in a Houston boutique - Haut Chocolat - or on the Christina Greene website.
After recently being accepted to Parsons: The New School of Design, Christina will gain an Associates in Applied Science Fashion Marketing degree to help with her future plans of Christina Greene. She plans and strives for her line to be carried in boutiques nationwide and eventually large department stores. As a recent graduate from TCU and horned frog fan, she knows the importance of a game day outfit. In August of 2011, Christina launched her College Collection that includes various unique pieces resembling your college of choice.

MY THOUGHTS:

One day, while looking around, I came across Christina Greene's webpage.  Oh my goodness, what a beautiful line of jewelry she offers!

From these stunning pair of earrings

Green Dangle Earrings

                                                                   Purple Teardrop

to this beautifully made Turquoise and Gold Wrap Bracelet.

I love all kinds of jewelry and I, especially, love it when there is a pop of gold mixed in.  These pieces are definitely one of a kind and appear to be well made. I have noticed, lately, that I have a hard time finding a unique piece of jewelry and that is why, when I came across Christina's website, I was in love!  I highly suggest you go to her website and take a look around.  Her jewelry is extremely affordable and you will not be able to leave her shop without making a purchase...think Christmas :)

Disclaimer:   I was not paid or given a free product to facilitate this review.  I loved what I saw and with permission, wanted to write my own review.  These are my own opinions.
