Bananas for Handbags Review and Give-a-way! US only ends April 11 ~CLOSED~

Anna is the Founder and Buyer of Bananas for Handbags. As the Buyer, Anna’s goal is to make the latest trends affordable for our customers. Her philosophy is to provide fashionable choices that are not only stylish, but also at a great value. With this in mind, you can be sure you are getting the latest looks at the best price.

Bananas for Handbags carries a wide variety of handbags at some stylishly low prices.  You can find crossbody bags, shoulder bags, animal print bags and so on.  All of their handbags are made of 100% man made materials.

Samara Red Tote Bag

I was given the opportunity to review the Makayla Brown Hobo. Hobo bags happen to be my favorite style so when I received this bag, I couldn't have been any happier, at that moment. The bag arrived in a protective covering, nice and neat in the box.  I truly appreciate the care one takes when packaging a handbag...any handbag, high end or not.  Each handbag deserves that extra special care and that is how I felt when opened the box.

This bag is a large bag; I love larger bags.  I have a million and one things that I carry around and a large bag is always a must for me.  This bag fit right at home in my small, but ever growing, collection of handbags.  The man made material is so soft and supple;  I promise you, it's not made from 'cheap' material...you know, the kind that is stiff and eventually cracks!  I love the deep, chocolate brown color of this bag and the hardware detailing adds a nice touch to an already beautiful bag. The shape of the hobo handbag makes it that much more unique;  I have never owned a bag with this shape.  You want to know something else???  This bag retails for $88 but Bananas for Handbags offers it for $49.95!  That's a deal you'll go bananas for!!

All in all, I love this bag and when I'm on the lookout for a new handbag, which will be a while, I'll definitely go to Bananas for Handbags!

HOW TO CONNECT:  You can purchase one of their lovely handbags straight from their website HERE.  You can also connect with Bananas for Handbags on Facebook and Twitter.

HOW TO WIN:  Bananas for Handbags is offering the Bekah Black Hobo to one of my lucky readers.  Thank you to Bananas for Handbags for your generosity!  This contest is open to the US only and will end on April 11, 2012.  Good luck to all!

Mary Alison Handbags Review and $40 Gift Certificate Giveaway

Today I have the pleasure of introducing you to a fabulous shop called Mary Alison handbags.

(From her webpage)

Tote Diaper Bag - Handmade Handbag in charcoal gray with floral applique embellishmentWelcome to Mary Alison Handbags!! I am Alison Wolf the designer and creator of these chic and fashion forward handbags. I am a stay at home mom of two beautiful daughters who just can't surpress my love for creativity and design.

What started as Christmas presents for my family and friends has escalated into my own business!!! My husband was the one who first encouraged me to sell them, even though I thought he was just being nice :) I toyed with the idea for a while but it wasn't until I was home with my first daughter full time that I really started pursuing selling my bags.

Since I suddenly had more "time" being at home to sew I thought I would give it a shot. My first craft fair was overhwhelmingly successful which then turned into special orders, more craft shows and now my own Etsy shop.

It has been so much fun and I'm sure my daughters probably think of our local fabric store as their second home :) I hope you love my handbags and enjoy using them as much as I enjoy making them!!!

"I get inspired by the colors of nature but really its all about the fabric. I see a fabric in a store and I can invision the bags and designs I could make from it. I also get inspired by observing what other women are carrying. I am constantly watching handbags - I am sure there have been a few women who thought I was a bit crazy because I was "staring" at them. Really I was just checking out thier bag. I have had to hold myself back many a time from wanting to dig through a strangers bag to see how it was made and the features it has. I limit myself to digging through bags in the stores. I also listen to what comments customers have when digging through my handbags. I have added new features or dropped some, based on the crtiques I get."
