Would love my readers opinions on products to review

SOME MUCH NEEDED OPINIONS PLEASE :)

I would absolutely LOVE some opinions from you, my lovely readers!  I have several reviews and giveaways coming up but, of course, I would like to have tons more.  That's where you come in :)  I would love your ideas on what you would like to see me review and/or giveaway.  I'm kinda stuck in the review department and since I haven't been blogging for even 6 months; I don't have sponsors beating down my door...yet.  Up coming reviews/giveaways (within the next week) are going to be for jewelry, under garment wear, bath and body, and hair.  Have you guys been pleased, so far, with the reviews and giveaways?  I sure hope so.  I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts and ideas!

HAPPY HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I hope everyone had a safe and happy New Years.  My girls had some friends over so they had a really good time while me and the hubby just kicked back and watched them.  We have snacks every year and this year was no different!  No drinking and driving here...well, no drinking, here, at all lol.  Here I am up at 3:51 in the morning, just finished up on a review/giveaway, and I'm about ready to pass out.  I need me some good ol' shut eye.  I hope the new year brings each and every one of you lots of peace, love, and happiness.  Each one of you deserves it!

New Year, New Giveaway- Monave Mineral Makeup Review and GIVEAWAY!

Monave

I had the pleasure of reviewing Monave Mineral Makeup. I was generously sent multiple samples to test out and review. Here is a little bit about the company from the website.

Monave started as a little seed...a dream to make makeup by  hand,   with simple ingredients. The seed also had the expectation that the products had to be high-quality, high-performance. I grew up working in health food stores, and much of the natural makeup wasn't very good. I didn't want Monave to be just another so-so natural makeup brand. As my little tree grew, so did my dream. It started to extend into the realm of developing and nurturing other women's ability and knowledge to create and sell their own makeup line. Some say that creates competition, but truly, the root of the tree lies in what is given away, not what is held tight.

I would like to first talk about the mineral  foundation.  I was given the chance to choose 2 different colors so I went with Kerrie and Claire.  Kerrie is on the left and Claire is on the right.  Kerrie is lighter and has a yellow undertone for the peaches and cream complexion while Claire is a neutral shade for light complextions.  I find that mixing the 2 foundations produces the most accurate shade for my skin color.  I really love the foundation as it blends so nicely and effortlessly and I can layer on for more coverage or less for less coverage.  I found that the foundation covers VERY well.  I have a few freckles and it's not easy to find a foundation that can completely cover them up; well this foundation does an outstanding job!

Next I would like to talk about the mineral blush.  I.LOVE.THIS.BLUSH!  I love everything about it, from the color to the sheen, this blush has got to be on the very top of my list of favorite blushes.  It's very hard to see the color, in the picture, but it's a beautiful pink meets cream, sandy salmon color, called Kasha, from their sultry blush collection.  It gives your cheeks a gorgeous sandy pink color along with a beautiful sheen that is not overpowering at all.  Below you can get a slightly better picture of how the color looks against my skin tone.  I have very fair skin and sometimes it's hard to find a blush that isn't too overpowering when it comes to color and since I'm 35 now; I don't want to look overly 'made up' and blush can either make or break your look.

Next up is the mineral eyeshadow.  Oh boy do I love eyeshadow!  I have green/brown eyes and I love wearing colors that make my eyes stand out.  I was given the opportunity to choose 2 different eyeshadows.  I chose Light Plum (left) and Mink (right).   These colors are GORGEOUS!  They have a nice sparkle to them and I can deal with that considering how gorgeous the colors are.  The staying power is pretty good.  I have to use a setting spray because my face is pretty oily and the eyelids are usually super duper oily by the end of the day if I don't use a setting spray.  With that said, the eyeshadow lasts, on me, for about 9 hours (with setting spray).  These colors really do bring out the green in my eyes.  Love, love, love the colors.

Last, but certainly not least, I would like to show you the mineral setting powder.  I chose the color Angel.  This is a nice setting powder and is definitely a great match.  It adds that extra 'layer' to help hold the foundation and help absorb that extra oil.  Works great!

My overall impression of Monave is a 5 star rating!  Great makeup at a reasonable price.  The eyeshadow goes for 7.50, the blush goes for 13.50, the foundation goes for 19.50 and the setting powder goes for 12.00.

WHERE TO BUY:  You can purchase directly from their website here.
