I've always been aware of Scentsy but, I've never taken the time to see what they were all about. I love scented candles and I have my favorite brand and never tend to stray away from what I know and am comfortable with.  When I was contacted, by Anna, to try out a Scentsy product, I couldn't pass up the opportunity. After all, a new alternative to candles seemed very appealing. After actually visiting her webpage, I realized that were are TONS of products that Scentsy offers.  It took me a while to decide on the warmer.  There are so many different warmers to choose from; the options seem to be endless. When I received the box and opened it, There was this beautiful Scentsy Full-Size Warmer and the 2 different Scentsy Bars I had chosen.  I was already pleasantly surprised by the aroma!

I decided to go with the Charity Full Size Warmer, which is from their Miracle Collection - Understated and inspired, Charity’s matte antique white finish over slate-like shades of brown, rust and green highlights embossed Spanish-style details. This is one beautiful warmer!


The 2 scents, I had chosen, were the Clean Breeze (the blue one) and the Flirtatious Scentsy Bar (the pink one).  I tried Flirtatious, which is fruity and vibrant, a combination of green apple, grapefruit, and white amber (description from their website).  As soon as it started to melt, my house was engulfed with a noticeable, yet subtle, scent.  This Scentsy Bar is so appropriately named! I wasn't really sure how many wax bars to add at one time so, I just put in one and went with it.  Let me tell you, it lasts forever and ever and I was getting a little impatient because I was ready to try the Clean Breeze Bar. Ok, so I couldn't wait any longer and decided, after about 2 days, that I wanted to try a new scent. Since the other wax was still left in there, the two scents ended up coming together.  That really had to bearing on the scent at all; all I could smell was the Clean Breeze, which turned out to be my favorite scent of the two!


There is a tray that sits on top of the actual warmer;  that is where the bars of wax sit and melt.  The light bulb, inside, is what warms and eventually melts the wax.  I knew light bulbs were hot but I guess I never imagined just how hot they really got; hot enough to melt wax??! Yea, I never knew that; call me crazy I guess!  After realizing that, my next concern was how hot the outside of the warmer would get.  I have a 2 year old and anybody that has ever had kids, or has been around them, knows they get into EVERYTHING and I was, of course, worried that baby C would touch the warmer and get burned.  Well, it does get a little hot to the touch and you will want to make sure you keep it away from the little ones.  That, and the fact that they will stick their fingers in the wax and make a mess. Sadly, I have to watch my 14 year old because she can't resist doing that!



There is a super easy on and off switch so you never really have to unplug it, though it would be wise to, since it uses un-needed electricity.  Even so, you have to option and that's really nice.   The cord is pretty long, which is a plus too.

I have found a new alternative to candles!  I'm so glad Anna introduced me to this product, I was missing out and never even knew it.  Besides, the Scentsy warmer is a lot more eye-catching than just a regular candle;  I'm hooked!
