imPRESS Press On Manicure

Impress Manicure

imPRESS Press-On ManicureThe first thing I thought of, when it came to imPRESS nails, was that it was going to be like the 'way back in the day' press on nails.  They were on one minute and completely off the next..just like that and just that quick.  imPRESS Press On Manicure is nothing like the older press on nails.  They come in a variety of colors and are really easy to apply, remove, and actually stayed on for about 4 days. I do tons of typing so that's pretty darn good!  What I like, too, is that you can file the nails to the length that best suites you.  As you can see in the picture, below, I only filed one finger to give you an idea of the length and how you can achieve a shorter nail if you choose to.  I really like these nails and would like to purchase more in other colors.  I wish they came in smaller sizes because my 14 year old daughter has petite fingers and she couldn't find any that actually fit her fingers well.  She was disappointed because she had wanted to try these out for so long now.

WHERE TO BUY:  You can find imPress Manicure at CVS, Rite Aid, Duane Reade, KMart, Walgreens, Walmart and more. For a full list of online and in-store retailers, visit imPressManicure, where you can download an exclusive coupon and virtually try on all the colors and patterns!

**Suggested retail price: $5.99 for colors and $7.99 for patterns

Quaker Soft Baked Oatmeal Cookies

Thanks to the Influenster Program, I received the Mom VoxBox which contained lots of goodies that I can't wait to tell you about!  Today I'm going to tell you a little bit about the Quaker Soft Bake Cookie.

Quaker Soft Baked Oatmeal CookiesNow let me tell you about the Quaker Soft Bake Cookie.  Every since the commercial came out, I've been wanting to try these; just haven't actually bought any yet.  Well, as soon as the box came in, my niece automatically asked if she could have it; how could I tell her no?!  I gave her the cookie and then realized - WAIT, I haven't taken a picture yet.  So here you will see her with a small portion, of this good sized cookie, left!  Sadly, I only got to try a small portion of this delicious cookie and it left me just wanting even more.  The cookie is moist and soft and really has a good taste to it.  I love homemade oatmeal cookies and I've never been fond of oatmeal cookies in a package but, Quaker Soft Baked Oatmeal Cookies really surprised me with that home baked taste! I've completely changed my mind and plan on buying more of these cookies and hiding them from my niece! Yea, and my niece said they were delish!

  • Made with Whole Grain Quaker Oats
  • Individually packaged
  • Provides a good source of fiber
  • Contains 6 grams of total fat per serving

Palmolive Fresh Sponge Review

Palmolive Fresh Sponge

I really hate doing dishes...REALLY hate it!  What makes it even worse is when the sponge or dish rag starts to smell sour after just a few days.  Well, I had the opportunity to review Palmolive Fresh Sponge and I have to admit, I was a little skeptical at first.

I've used Palmolive for several years now so when they came out something new...I jumped right on it.  I've been using this product for about 3 weeks now and the sponge STILL smells fresh and clean!  Everyday, before washing the dishes, I smell the sponge just to see if I can smell even a hint of the awful, sour smell and NOTHING...so far nothing!

I'm seriously impressed with their new product and I suggest that if your sick and tired of replacing your sponges every week, then you should give Palmolive Fresh Sponge a try...you will not be disappointed.

Kiss Nail Dress

Nail Dress

Thanks to the Love VoxBox Program from Influenster, I was able to try Kiss Nail Dress.  There are 18 cute styles. There is no drying time; just peel, apply and shape.  They last up to 10 days.

The ones that I got to try were called Sexy (yea, that's the name!).  Honestly, I would have preferred another design, but hey I got to try it for free so I can't complain!  There are 28 strips per package and can be used either on your fingernails or toenails.  I tried them on my fingernails and all you have to do is place the strip on your nail and then file off the excess...simple huh!

Now, what I didn't like was that by the next day, 5 of them had come off.  I honestly don't know if it was something that I did wrong since the other 5 stayed on fine.  They come off with ease when you're ready to remove them.  I think I'll try some on my toes and see of they stay on a little longer.  They recommend you remove them after 10 days.  Watch the video below as it will show you how to apply the strips.

All in all, I would rate them a 3 due to the ease and look of the strips.  If you wanted to wear them for a girls' night out, then they would be perfect!  Put them on and take them off the next day.  Once I try them on again, I'll update my post!

WHERE TO PURCHASE:  You can purchase from any of these stores listed HERE.

Truvia Sweetner Review

Another item I received, from Influenster's Love VoxBox, was Truvia.  I haven't found a sweetner that I'm fond of so when I had the chance to try Truvia, I wasn't too excited about it.  To me, nothing is as good as the real thing.  One of the things I dislike about sweetners is the after taste...yuck!  That is the one thing that turns me completely off.

So here I was, staring at the package and dreading yet another sweetner I just knew I wouldn't like.  I opened up the package and poured the contents into my hands (see picture below).  As you can see, the sweetner is like tiny crystals, not powdery like some of the others.  That caught my attention so I dipped my tongue into the crystals to have a taste.  Hey, to my surprise, it wasn't bad...actually it was really good.  So, I sat for a while to see if it left that dreadful aftertaste...nope, none!  I used it in my tea; it definitely dissolves nicely.

Okay, so I have to say that Truvia actually impressed me and my taste buds.  No, it's not the 'real thing' but I have to honestly say that it's pretty darn close.

You can purchase Truvia for around $3.99 for a 40 ct.  That's not bad and hey, should you not like it, you won't be losing out on a lot of money...that's always a plus!

Gillette Venus & Olay Review

I received the opportunity to review the Gillette Venus & Olay Razor from the 2012 Love VoxBox program from Influenster.  I'm always on the look out for a razor that does the job and leaves my skin soft and smooth.  Well, I believe I have found 'the one'.

I love that you don't have to use shaving gel; just wet the razor and shave..that's it!  "Olay Moisture Bars help lock-in moisture to your skin, while Venus' five blades shave you close".  This statement couldn't be more true.

I have never used a razor like this and I was highly impressed.  I do believe that this is my new razor and I'll continue to purchase until they stop selling the Venus & Olay or something better comes along.

The Gillette Venus & Olay Razor retails for $8.99-$10.99.
